My first post…as I sat here for what felt like a moment stretched into a millennium thinking of what to post for the first time I thought:
“Maybe I will start with what I don’t know”.

The only intention this post has is to be my first post and to talk about things that I don’t know yet, you know, the things I want to learn about but have not been able to. The things that I am currently in the middle of learning and the things I have already learned.
Or at least to the get the walk going 🚶😀
What am I learning currently?
Let me tell you a little bit about what I am in the middle of learning. My husband and I were recently baptized into the Orthodox church. In Orthodoxy we use prayer ropes to help us keep count and focus on our prayers. I have a deep appreciation for them. You can learn more about them here. I recently asked my Priest if he thought it would be a good for me to learn how to make them. So as to help me with a current struggle of mine (I will talk about that in a later post). With a look of agreement he said that would be a great idea. Another aspect of Orthodoxy I am vested in is Byzantine Chant / Hymns. There is a grace filled story behind how I started to learn chanting. I will share this story in another post as well.
As I said before, the sole purpose of this post is to start our walk. I will not to go into detail about things here. I want to save those finer details for a more focused walk.
What do I know?
Now, what are some things that I do know?
I am a decent cook. I can make a mean meatball or two.

In all reality, I am my biggest critic though. My husband loves everything, but he could be slightly biased. 😉 I know that there are certain mathematical concepts that in those concepts you can see God. Which I will definitely tell you all about! I am a bit of a science and math nerd; as my kids say these days, I “geek out” on those subjects. To learn a little more about one of these concepts check out this link. I know that Jesus Christ is the Truth and have experienced that He is the Way; and that only He gives us Life. One more thing that I will mention here that I know and that is that I do not know SO much!!
What do I not know?
There is so much to know and learn about the world that we live on and in. About the societies and cultures around the world; about the traditions and beliefs of the people of this world. There is a lot about, I will confess, history, art, and literature that I do not know. I do not know much about archery and soccer, or rather, European football. Nor do I know how to draw or how to sew. My understanding about economics is rather elementary nor do I understand political science. With technology exploding there is SO much that I do not understand and simply gloss over. I understand that glossing over some aspects within the realm of technological sciences can be harmful. Which is why I am hoping to learn more about the explosion within technological sciences.
As you can see there are many numerous things I do not know. My goal is to learn a few new things on this walk with you.
*Disclaimer: I will refrain from posting or talking about politics. So please do not worry about whether you will see any of that here. There is a time and a place for political debates. My page is not the place. I will speak on hard topics from time to time probably, but it will never be from a political lens.
